Your hosts
Between the three of us we buy, build, manage and sell real estate every week. The podcast is where we share what we're learning while we do it.
Co-host · Broker & investor
Joe has been a real estate investor for two decades and a licensed Realtor® since 2010, and he consistently ranks in the top 1% of sales nationwide. From his office on Main Street in Niantic he has bought, sold and managed more than 70 properties, and he has built a portfolio of more than 140 doors, including a boutique hotel, apartment buildings, short-term rentals and commercial space, and he manages another 60 doors. He helps buyers, sellers and investors across New London County, Connecticut, and is now expanding in New London.
Co-host · Entrepreneur & operator
Born in Belgium, Peter has been a serial entrepreneur for more than 15 years, starting in 2009 with companies in logistics, customs brokerage and international freight. He moved his family to Connecticut in 2016 and has since built and managed short-term, long-term and multifamily rentals. Today he is Managing Principal of Glass House Investing, leads the CT Valley Team at eXp Realty, and runs EG Enterprises and CT Home Services with Adam.
Co-host · Former Navy submarine commander
Adam spent 22 years as a U.S. Navy submarine commander in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, where official evaluations ranked him the #1 officer among 15 leaders on a three-star command staff. He holds degrees in nuclear engineering and engineering physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and started investing in 2009 while still on active duty. Today he owns 48 long-term rentals, manages a large short-term rental portfolio, and builds spec homes in Connecticut through EG Enterprises, a licensed general contractor.
What we own and build
We spread our capital across property types that earn in different ways, and we have the crews and equipment to build from the ground up.
Hospitality
We own the Niantic Inn and are acquiring more hotels.
Short-term rentals
Our own units, plus EG Enterprises, which manages about 60 Airbnbs for other owners.
Multifamily
Long-term rentals that pay every month.
Retail
Commercial tenants on longer leases.
Self storage
A storage facility in Taftville closing this November, plus a large storage barn on our Montville property.
Ground up
We own the equipment to build from dirt to keys.
Value add
We buy fast, renovate and resell, often for cash.
Expansion
Where we're growing next.
24 properties in 14 towns across New London County and the Connecticut shoreline
Featured property
Our boutique hotel at 345 Main Street, Niantic, a three-minute walk from Hole-in-the-Wall Beach and the heart of downtown. Studios and suites with kitchenettes, a garden and fire pit, and fast Wi-Fi make it a favorite for shoreline weekends and longer stays. When we bought it, it grossed about $480,000 a year and netted $160,000. Today it grosses about $1.1 million and nets about $700,000. That's the playbook we're bringing to the next hotels we acquire.
